Window tinting films are measured available for everyone visible light transmission concentrations (or VLT). This assists when we discuss a great film, be it for installing to a car or any other application, we normally call it with it's VLT the cost. VLT is measured inside the percentage ( % ), so if you listen to a tint product being called a percentage, it is lower your VLT that defines now this percentage value.

For case study, a tinting film also referred to as Charcoal 5% is the charcoal coloured tint with a VLT of 5% plus a film also called green 50% is an eco-friendly coloured tint film large VLT of 50%. But how does the number they will not?

Well, in simple terms the VLT cost is the percentage of visible light which can be allowed to travel through the window tinting film from the exterior face side within the film to the everyone in the room side. This means that a 5% film will only allow 5% light traverse and a 70% film enables 70% light to tour. In effect, this assists lower VLT films will appear darker. For instance, it can be 5% tints that we will see on limousines for comfort and ease.

So, fitting a 5% tint inside a window will allow 5% light to be gone through the glass external to to inside, right? IT DOESN'T! Because we need bear in mind the actual VLT as the window before the tinting film is even installed. There is not any such thing as a certain amount of glass, no matter how clear it appears that, with a VLT associated with 100%. This is because bottles naturally filters out doing a bit of visible light.

Lets look at car window tinting since this is one area where we discuss about it VLT often due to the fact that many countries have laws effectively limiting how dark windshields should be tinted. Most contemporary cars come from centre with windows reading a VLT anywhere between 72% and 78%, dependant upon the manufacturer, model and culture. Say, our example car's home window read at 72% therefore we add a 50% window tinting, what is the spotlessly clean and final VLT of our car's windows after fitted?

The sum is controllable: V1 x V2 equals V3 (Where V1 has to be your original VLT of owning the glass before tinting, V2 is the VLT of the window tinting and V3 is the last VLT value of the glass with tint films applied).

Our car's windows unique VLT = 72% and the tint = 50 percent paid, thus V1 = seventy two and V2 = 50

The dollar amount is 72 x 0. 50 posting us 36, which we'd express as a shrink. So a window by having an original VLT of 72% might have a VLT of 36% after use of a 50% film.
